My story

My name is Antje and I’m originally from Germany in the Black Forest.
I’ve always been passionate about my job in the hotel and restaurant trade, and in 2009 I moved to Avignon to take up the position of Manager at La Mirande restaurant. After working in various Michelin-starred restaurants in the region and in top-of-the-range hotels, I had my first child and had the opportunity to work in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon at Maison Bronzini as Sales, Communications and Events Manager for a period of 8 years. The aim was to have working hours that were more conducive to family life, without losing contact with customers. I enjoyed this position, which enabled me to develop my professional skills by creating DJ nights, girls’ nights, show nights and children’s events.
Coming back to L’Heure Bleue, my husband opened the door to this unique venue and fell in love with it immediately. He realised that I could develop a cosy, family-friendly and elegant place to breathe new life into this historic mansion and its garden. We now have two children and I want my family to be part of this adventure. The L’Heure Bleue tearoom and its guest rooms represent everything I love, and I want this place to be as welcoming as possible to locals and foreigners alike. Villeneuve-lès-Avignon is a magnificent village and I hope to be able to create a place that helps to enhance it.
